It's a rainy Sunday

Can't really sleep last night. And I got the Father's Day date all wrong. I tought it was on the 3rd Saturday instead of 3rd Sunday of June haha. Ermmm when wake up earlier today, sister has lunch all cooked up. Yey fish curry for lunch!!! Nice. And at tea, long awaited monsoon rain started to soak the mundane Sunday. I hope you enjoy this video. Bubbly song for a day like Sunday =)

Last One Week Recap

It's been quite a while since my last post. Pretty busy these days. Somebody suddenly has to make a living haha. Well, I actually just realised that I have passed the 50th post on the first week of June. Brave boy, bravo!

Recapping on what has been happening for the last one week.

Golf Tourney
- I finished within the last 5 places. Okay, drive dah jauh dah. Next year training lebih sikit.

Laptop
- Excellent aftersale service. My laptop is now as good as new. MAC tunggu dulu lah.

Mountain Bike
- Persistant Mael persistantly called me to check whether I have bought a bike or not. Tak cukup budget lagi la brader. And it's no more Scott, it's Gary Fisher now =)

Movie
- Watched BLOOD : THE LAST VAMPIRE. It's a total disaster. DO NOT watch it!!!

Mount Kinabalu
- From the current weather pattern, I doubt that the pack can reach the summit. It's raining season over there. May the luck be on our side.

Osaka
- Done a bit of shopping at the factory outlet. Got myself a new pair of running shoe, t-shirts and some cool Star Wars' Lego fridge magnet. And for the first time, I actually went to the city centre (somewhere between Namba and Umeda). Penat berjalan. Osaka is 3 to 4 time the size of KL. Mid trip, digicam's memorycard penuh. Haih. Anyway, I think Osaka is pretty fantastic, for a Japanese metropolitan.

Fathers' Day
- Called Abah at 3pm to wish him =)

Jog
- Been progressing well. Maybe I can reach the summit. Oh oh, I saw a girl at the park today and she was fast. Doesn't matter. The thing is, she's pretty an eye-catcher, to me =)

Dinner
- Amin's newly wed wifey: Elin, cooked dinner for us, tonight. Not bad. Curry was nice.

Lomography
- The online seller texted me that my Lomo is ready for delivery after the money transfer. Mana camera nya?!

Summer Holiday
- Amsterdam here I come. Cuti was verbally aproved.

Panjang betul post kali ni. Have a good weekend.

Flu Fever

Still suffering a mild flu fever that I've caught inflight to Amsterdam. Many were skeptic, that to them I'm carrying an AH1N1 virus. Well I don't rule it out, but logically prior to the fever I never have been in contact with any of the carrier (I was in Malaysia for more than a week ok?). So most likely it won't be a swine flu. And tomorrow there's this golf tournament that I should be participating in Kota Kemuning, and!!! it's also my sister's birthday! Hectic Saturday...

ps: practice at driving range yesterday was not too bad.hope i dont screw up big time tmrw

Aircond

Because Malaysia's tropic weather is too unbearable nowadays, a friend and I went to scout for some aircond today after the friday prayers. The plan is to fully air-conditionized my house. I've survived a 4-years in this house without any conditioned air, but it's been too much now. Consulted some experienced friends today. But I think I should ask abah for his opinion tomorrow. Anyway, have a good weekend. I will be going back to Sungai Petani in a bit.

ps: wedding food was good last night.lapar kot?

Touched

Not very long ago, 4 am at work I was reading the National Geographic magazine. It was May 2009 issue. This article was about the frozen mammoth which were discovered on a May morning 2 years ago on the Yamal Peninsular in northwestern Siberia. They have named her Ljuba, after wife of the founder, Mr. Yuri Khudi. She, the mammoth is aged between 10,000 to 14,000 years. I was touch with the part how she met her death.

Being a person who love to see mammoth alive again( thank to the Ice Age movies), I'm excited to learn that they are trying to bring this wonderful animal to live again. I hope the cloning experiment will be succesful. I really do.

The article was read at the time where human brain perform at its worst. So pardon me for any inaccuracy.

ps: it is a very interesting magazine with nice photos

Mass Storage Drive Is Not Detected

Crap!!! That is what has appeared on the screen when earlier today, I gatal-gatal went to install new drivers into my 10-months old laptop's after a long night of downloading the updates. Pandai la konon-kononnya haihhhhh.

Why suddenly I become rajin? Well, having nothing to do (I'm off from 27th May till 8th June) and the ethernet LAN is not working properly (wireless LAN is okay), plus this Toshiba Co. Japan, being so generous (for free, this japanese manufacturer let you download the updated drivers for your particular model from their support web), I without hesitation, exercised this once-in-a-blue-moon rajin opportunity.

After updating the BIOS, the computer entered it self-boot mode. Alas, after the Windows XP start-up interface page, the MASS STORAGE DRIVE IS NOT DETECTED message came. Thinking that this problem can be troubleshoot by reformatting the windows, I quickly grab the XP dvd and boot the system. At the end of the 5th attempts that has consumed more than half an hour, I gave up. Crap!!! Nak buat macam mana ni? I checked the warranty and luckily I've bought the extended 3 years warranty.

But I have no time to send it to the store for warranty claim this weekend because I have to attend Amin's wedding reception (again I will be a bestman) in Seremban this Saturday and Sunday. And Low Yat is in the Far Far Away land. Get a new lappie? A Mac perhaps? I love to, tapi at the moment tadak budget lah.

Moral of the story : Jangan pandai-pandai sendiri bila tetiba datang mood rajin. I'm sure everybody just had their salary wired-in. Spend wisely. Retail theraphy doesn't really make any different when your football team lost their most important finals match.

ps: im using my long abandoned super-fast huge-lcd desktop at the moment

pss: Happy Birthday A!!!dah 26th kan?get you a cake tomorrow ok?
